Ingrediënten

Bereiding

  • 1 Brown meat and chicken in pan (no water of grease).
  • 2 Remove from pan.
  • 3 Brown garlic and onion in butter; add shrimp and salt.
  • 4 When shrimp is pink, add meat and chicken.
  • 5 When meat is cooked, add beans.
  • 6 When beans are soft, add potatoes and carrots.
  • 7 Cook till tender, then add cabbage and bean sprout last.
  • 8 Cook for 5 minutes.
  • 9 Add salt and MSG (optional) to taste. 1
  • 0 Drain before adding to wrapper. 1
  • 1 With wrapper corner toward you, place 2 to 3 tablespoons cooked mixture in wrapper. 1
  • 2 Roll into tight roll and seal end with a water-flour paste. 1
  • 3Fry rolls in oil till brown over medium-medium high heat. 1
  • 4 Drain on paper towels. 1
  • 5 Amounts can be adjusted to your tastes. 1
  • 6 May substitute two 14 oz. cans of French-style beans for the fresh green beans. 1
  • 7 Potatoes and carrots may be shredded instead of diced. 1
  • 8 May substitute canned bean sprouts for fresh. For the lumpia sauce: * Mince the garlic and mix the cornstarch into the 1/3 cup water. 1
  • 9 Heat the oil in a medium saucepan on medium heat; add garlic and saute until softened. 2
  • 0 Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce and 1-1/2 cups water. 2
  • 1 Slowly add cornstarch mixture stirring constantly until thickened. Makes 4 cups.
